Facebook updated to 1.5.0.32

RIM has updated it’s facebook application for their devices to 1.5.0.32 from 1.5.0.31 with two major bug fixes of calendar and request friend number.

Download the latest software from http://www.blackberry.com/facebook

The main problem is that those of us who downloaded the original 1.5.0.31 will not have our calendars fixed automatically with the new update. You will need to go to Options>Advanced Options>Default Services and change the calendar from Facebook to your normal default calendar.

Start your blackberry in safe mode

To startup in safe mode ( Knowledge Base):

  • Remove the BlackBerry battery and reinsert it
  • Hold down the Escape key after the red LED goes out and keep holding it (The escape key is the one that looks like a sideways “U” shaped arrow by the trackball on the Bold commonly called the “back key/arrow”)
  • You will then see this dialog box to the right and click ok
  • To exit safe mode just remove the battery and reinsert again
